Confidence – where does it come from?
Do you ever wonder what it is about some people that makes them so confident? So completely comfortable in their skin, radiating such positive, charismatic energy? We all know someone like this. I remember the first time I met my son’s art teacher. She was completely at peace with who she was in every moment, interaction and experience. She radiated positive, charismatic energy and she wasn’t a particularly extroverted personality. She was just content with who she was. No apologies.
No excuses. Just herself.
I used to wonder where these qualities came from. She appeared to just ‘float’, glide around with elegance somehow. I can see her now gliding across the school car park with her books and bags. How come she oozed all that confidence?
Where did it come from?
Confidence really comes down to one incredibly simple thing. Owning it. My son’s teacher fully owned it.
Now it’s one thing to recognise that you need to settle into accepting who you are; it’s another to be able to connect with and ‘own’ your feelings, emotions and sensations at any given moment, and not give a single thought to what other people are thinking.
That’s where this book comes in – to help you appear and (more importantly) feel confident no matter what.
“I’m 97% sure you don’t like me, but I’m 100% sure I don’t care.”
